    GUAVA VARIETIES WE EXPORT

Premium quality guava is exported from India to several nations across the world. The high-quality fruits exported abroad have led to an increase in Indian exports throughout the years. The following are the main guava cultivars that India exports.

    L-49 (LUCKNOW-49)

Guava of the L-49 cultivar bears fruit profusely. Its milky white and sweet pulp are milky greenish-yellow in colour. The inside pulp of the L-49’s shell is fairly thick and contains rather soft seeds. This cultivar, which is well-liked in Maharashtra and Andhra Pradesh, has less seeds. 25 t/ha is the yield of this cultivar.

    ALLAHABAD SAFEDA

One of the most widely cultivated guava varieties in Uttar Pradesh is the Allahabad Safeda. It serves table-related purposes. This variety’s fruits are typically spherical, medium in size, and have a few seeds. The fruit has white flesh and is well-suited for preserving.

    BANARASI

The height of the Banarasi variety of guavas typically ranges from 4.0 to 5.5 m, and they have a broad crown. This variety’s fruits typically have a circular shape and a bright yellow colour. This cultivar is mostly used for culinary uses.

    CHITTIDAR

According to legend, the Safeda variety of guavas and the Chittidar variety are related. The fruit of the Chittidar variety has several pinhead-sized pinkish-red spots on its surface, which is the only distinction between the two varieties.

    HARIJHA

The height of the Harijha variety of guavas is typically between 3.5 and 4.5 metres. Additionally, this plant is said to have few branches. This variety’s round, greenish-yellow, sweet-tasting fruits have a round form.

    RED FLESHED

Guava trees of the Red Fleshed kind often grow to a height of 3 to 5 metres. This tree’s branches are covered in rounded-oval fruits. The fruits’ flesh is pink on the inside and have a yellowish exterior.

    ARKA MRIDULA

The Harijha variety of guavas normally grow to a height of 3.5 to 4.5 metres. This plant is also believed to have few branches. Circular, greenish-yellow, sweet-tasting fruits of this cultivar have a round shape.
