Cinnamon

The dried bark of several laurel trees in the Cinnamomum genus is used to make cinnamon. The dried inner stem bark of Cinnamomum Verum is what is known as “True Cinnamon.” Cinnamon trees are cultivated as shrubs. The cassia tree is one of the more popular trees from which cinnamon is sourced. Both cinnamon’s ground and stick forms have a sweet flavour and a woodsy aroma. Cinnamon exports from India are increasing daily as a result of the spice’s growing popularity. The export of cinnamon is currently a lucrative industry for exporters. Cinnamon grows naturally in the Western Ghats woods. Additionally, it is grown in Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka. In one or two places in Kerala, it is grown.
